1and1External Firewall Problem

Thought I'd enable the 1and 1 firewall using the Webserver/email option.
But it then stopped access with ftp and to game servers and webmin.
So I deactivated then deleted the firewall.
Still no access
So I did the server re-image (available now without paperwork)
Still no access.
Tech support still says the problem is with the server because ssh and Plesk still work. But the 1and1 firewall is EXTERNAL!!! So it is the problem, not the server
Can't get "higher" tech support because it is a weekend.
Tried to reactivate the firewall and create rule allowing port 10000 for webmin on both tcp and udp but still it won't release.
Anyone else have any input?
Think I might have to cancel then buy a newer high strength package maybe.
Anybody got servers at these prices?

Well after doing NOTHING to the server the problem corrected itself.
1and1 certainly give GREAT??? advice

We're seeing the same type of issue. We've been experimenting with the external firewall and it states that it will take effect in 5 minutes. Obviously thats a rough guess on when the policy is enforced. We noticed that even though we weren't permitting FTP it still seemed to be permitted. When we removed the policy it didn't seem to completely remove the rules for quite some time.

Cool feature but it's not mature yet.
