Using FTP

I would like to do a file transfere to my 1and1 site, how do I go about this?

You'll need a FTP client to facilitate transfers. I would suggest Filezilla (http://filezilla-project.org/) since it's good and free.

Once you have Filezilla installed, log into your 1and1 admin panel and find out what your FTP server, username and password are. Take them and put them into Filezilla and it should connect. From there you can put files up by dragging them from the left window into the right.
