Here's a puzzling one:
I cancelled two contracts with 1&1 on 15th Dec: both had one .info domain that I received free of charge in a special promotion a year ago.
1&1 confirmed the cancellation on 19th Dec.
Yet today (21 Dec) I received two invoices - one for each contract
Anyone else had a similar experience - should I assume billing is not in step with operations or something similar or should I send an email to the black hole ... ahem I mean 1&1's billing dept.?
Cheers,
Charles

We've found that the billing department while not in step with support is quite capable and willing to make things right. Well at least in the US they were very cooperative.
Give them a call.

I always find when dealing with 1&1 UK and their rediculous Fax confirmation that they require for almost everything a follow up phone call is necessary to ensure they take notice.

Same here in the U.S.
The faxing is ridculous to say the least... But not only do you have to go through the trouble of faxing it, but then that dreaded fax machine they have over there at 1and1 just LOVES to eat every fax you send over!
It got to a point where I actually had to call 1and1 support, wait the 45 minutes on hold to finally get someone.. then send the fax so they could go and confirm that the fax was in there hands. I must of had to fax something 4 times before it every got done!

Everytime we cancel something we just keep walking by the fax machine and hit redial so they must burn a ream of paper for our cancellations.

What's a fax  !!
What I'm worried about is that they've billed me those I wish to cancel but not for those I wish to keep, which are due today.

Well, in the end they billed me the correct amount for the correct domains and the redundant ones are history :D
