We ar epaying 1and1 GREAT money for dedicated servers. The least we ask for is decent support over th ephone.


When I call I ALWAYS get someone who can't even speak english decently. I get tired of asking for someone who speaks english because I can't understand them.


So, theres feedback. hire americans or canadians or british people who can speak ENGLISH. not someone from asia or japan or taiwan who can't even say HOWDY DOODIE in english.



myonly beef with 1and1 .. the phone support people.

well and someof the email people can use education... Sometimes I have to reply to emails by way of SHOUTING AT THE PERSON BECAUSE THEY ARE BLIND :P

Well.. I could understand 1and1.. But it hurts us:(

I am currently in Eastern Europe right now, Ukraine to be precise. One of the guys I met here speaks perfect english, knows unix,etc..

He was hired for a company(gonna keep the name conf) to do tech support over voip for a US co. He is a second level tech support.

He works Mon-Fri 4pm - midnight. Monthly salary - $450 USD! Being from Canada I dont think that you could find anything below $15/hour for the same type of job(that would be ~$2400/month). The laws are totally on the side of the employer in Ukraine. Besides nobody follows the law, and nobody pays tax either(the employee and employer). Its a win/win solution for the comp.
