So I went to 1and1.com today to answer a question asked here and, lo and behold, the dedicated server section has a big SOLD OUT banner on every one of their server listings. Most interesting...

Do you think they're out of hardware or IPs?

Maybe they are going to abandon their dedicated platform becuase its so difficult for them to manage efficiently.

Maybe they are going to abandon their dedicated platform becuase its so difficult for them to manage efficiently.This is extremely unlikely, considering http://www.1and1faq.com/forums/showthread.php?t=618. I believe the soon to be opened DC is the reason why 1and1.com (not 1and1.co.uk) is currently not selling new servers (which would be installed in the "old", rented DC space).
